Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable, high-load systems capable of handling millions of requests per day, with a focus on high availability and fault tolerance. Ensure the systems are built for speed, scalability, and resilience.

  • Expertly design the architecture of complex, multi-tier applications considering both current and future requirements. This includes seamless integration with external services, and APIs, and leveraging microservices architecture to ensure scalability, security, and optimal performance.

  • Spearheaded the simplification and optimization of existing codebases, particularly with Spring and Hibernate frameworks, to enhance performance and maintainability. The goal is to streamline and refine, rather than complicate, ensuring cleaner, more efficient code.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive testing strategies to assess software product performance, reliability, and security. This includes sophisticated load testing and security assessments to preemptively identify and address potential vulnerabilities or performance bottlenecks.

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and optimizations of software products focusing on improving execution speed and memory usage. This involves a keen ability to understand and refactor existing codebases, enhancing efficiency and reducing complexity where possible.

  • Actively lead and mentor a development team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. Responsibilities include task distribution, ensuring code quality, conducting detailed code reviews, and facilitating the professional growth of team members through targeted mentorship.

  • Engage in proactive problem-solving, especially in troubleshooting and fixing production-level issues. This includes a strong aptitude for diagnosing and resolving bugs, and performance issues and optimizing code for better speed and memory utilization.

  • Collaborate closely with clients, analysts, and the project management team to deeply understand business requirements, perform detailed technical analysis, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely projects. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in Java and extensive experience with its ecosystem, specifically advanced proficiency in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data) and Hibernate. A strong emphasis on simplifying and optimizing existing codebases.

  • Proven track record in administering and conducting comprehensive testing of Java applications, including performance analysis and load testing. This includes the capacity to effectively identify and resolve production-level issues, ensuring robustness and high availability.

  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing RESTful APIs and SOAP services, with a thorough understanding of microservices architecture principles. Must possess hands-on experience with modern containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with a variety of databases, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). This includes the ability to optimize queries and design efficient data schemas for improved performance and scalability.

  • Strong foundation in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban development methodologies with the ability to lead effective workflows in a team. Must possess exceptional communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

  • Leadership qualities that inspire team achievement, coupled with a track record in mentoring and skill development within the team. Must demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, especially in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving high-stakes production issues.

  • It will be a big plus if you know AngularJS

Conditions:

  • A competitive salary package, $30 per hour or $5,000 per month, with additional performance-based bonuses and incentives.
