Job purpose:
Tax Compliance manager reports indirectly to the Head of Tax International and is covering the VAT and CIT compliance (tax returns preparation) for several Corporate entities in Europe and UAE; assists with monthly consolidation of the Corporate entities and ensures accurate and timely submission of Tax transparency reports for the Group
Responsibilities:
- Manage the direct and indirect tax compliance matters (CIT, TP, VAT, WHT etc.) for European ERG group companies;
- Assist with safeguarding that local tax compliance matters are properly analyzed, supported, and documented;
- Assist with external financial audits and review of income taxes;
- Liaise with the various internal departments (e.g. Legal, Treasury, Finance, Strategic Planning, etc.), and manage relationships with external advisors;
- Assist the Senior Manager International Tax on (strategic) tax projects;
- Preparation of the Group's Country-by-Country report (semi-annually);
- Preparation of the Group's EU directive report (semi-annually);
- Preparation of tax note to SDR report, including consistency check with Country-by-Country, EITI and EU directive reports;
- Assistance with monthly tax consolidation of and reporting on the Group Accounts for Corporate entities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or equivalent (Tax law or fiscal economics);
- International corporate income tax and tax accounting experience gained at a consultancy firm, and/or as an in-house tax specialist, affinity with mining industry is a plus;
- At least 4 years of relevant experience;
- Understanding of tax accounting and tax compliance, knowledge of preparation of CIT and VAT returns;
- ACCA or equivalent (highly desirable), Tax compliance trainings;
- English - Advanced, French/Dutch - desirable;
- Strong Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint, HFM;
- Ability to write tax technical memos;
- Be ready for some traveling.
