Responsibilities:

• Represent the Engineering team to the Company;
• Coordinate verification of the concept/basic design, provided by the Client;
• Manage engineering activities from concept design to AFC status;
• Manage Contractor reporting procedure and ensure engineering deliverables are submitted in schedule;
• Manage design change processes;
• Verify the compliance of design with Contract obligations and quality requirements;
• Plan the Project engineering activities and define the relevant manpower requirements, ensuring the project organization;
• Supervise the project planning and all the activities necessary for the Project execution, ensuring coordination and control for times, costs and quality;
• Supervise directly the design and procurement activities;
• Coordinate the issue of Material Requisitions for Project materials and/or equipment;
• Monitor the performance of the work and implement any measure which may be required to prevent, absorb or minimize delays, budget over-running and conditions contrary to the quality objectives established, modifying the priorities if necessary;
• Evaluate the proposed changes in the Engineering Scope of Work and to the relevant cost and time implications;
• Assure the timely availability of the Project technical documents, as per the established DPR;
• Ensure the issue of the progress reports to the Contractor / Company according to the programmed schedule;
• Manage the performance and timely submittal of engineering deliverables submittal to Company/Owner;
• Ensure the timely delivery of Contractor information and services to the Company;
• Ensure compliance with the Regulatory Approvals procedures having participated in dialogue to confirm the statement of requirements;
• Apply Technical Authority/Technical Risk advisory guidelines support and procedures. These are to support engineering philosophy and design activities and technical risk decisions over all venture and project phases and activities;
• Ensure a smooth and effective transfer of data and information between and from the Contractor to Company;
• Ensure that internal delivery requirements are adequately resourced and individual performance satisfactorily managed;
• Communicate and cooperate with peers within the organization to ensure effect sharing of management information.

Requirements:

• Graduate engineer in mechanical / civil engineering field or related fields;
• Experience at least 10-15 years in a variety of engineering and major project related roles in the exploration and production business;.
• Solid engineering discipline foundation (e.g. process, facilities, mechanical, structural) with subsequent broadening in association with other disciplines and oilfield/business functions;
• Proven track record of success in management of oil and gas field engineering activities and field development projects;
• Experience in pre-execution project definition phases e.g. economic screening, feasibility, concept selection and front-end engineering and design;
• Ability to manage the performance of Concept Design, FEED and Detailed Design and deliver to established Project objectives;
• Clear understanding of RoK Regulatory Approvals and Permitting procedures;
• Ability to communicate well, laterally and vertically within organization;.
• Good presentation skills, is able to manage Company/Owner relationships;
• Strategic business planning skills;
• Strong commercial focus whilst maintaining an appropriate cost/time/quality balance;
• Credible senior technical professional with project management credentials;
• Able to identify and manage the integration of HSE and technical risk processes into engineering and project solutions;
• Ability to manage business activities in a multi-cultural environment and exercises intercultural sensitivity in dealing with the Company’s socio/political environment.
