The Director of Admissions shall perform the following job duties:

• Provides complete counseling and accurate information in person and by phone/email
• Checks email and cell phone messages regularly to respond to parent inquiries in a timely manner.
• Meets and greets guests/parents/staff as soon as they arrive at the school and escorts them to the Admissions Office
• Collects, verifies and records personal information in ISAMS of all admitted students
• registers prospective students for placement testing and coordinates incoming students during testing
• Prepares and signs contracts with parents of students
• Keeps track of payment of fees, deposits, and other school-related charges in cooperation with the accounting department.
• Does analysis and statistics on new and departing students
• Effectively manages and prioritizes the complex demands of a wide range of duties and responsibilities
• Responsible for writing and updating admissions policies and procedures in collaboration with SLT and academic staff.
• Maintains graduate records
• Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for SLT
• Goal setting and forecasting
• Develops and implements effective working systems to improve departmental performance
• Trains and develops the reception team
• Conducts open mornings for applicants and their parents.
• Holds quarterly meetings with the marketing team to forecast marketing strategies to increase the number of applications

Safeguarding:

• Everyone who works at Haileybury Almaty has the responsibility for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact;
• Maintain good order and discipline among the pupils and safeguard their health and safety, both when they are on the school premises and when they are engaged in authorized school activities elsewhere;
• Be aware of school policy and procedures regarding Child Protection and Safeguarding, and attend relevant training as required.
• Report all causes for concern to the Designated Senior Lead.

Person Specification:

A person with a higher professional education and at least 3 years of experience in sales shall be appointed to the position of Director of Admissions. Work experience in an educational institution is welcome.

The Director of Pupil Admission Department shall know:

- English, Russian and Kazakh languages at a high level

- Customer service methods and principles

- Possess a high level of proficiency in computer programs

The Admissions Specialist should possess the following skills:

- Is an efficient and effective administrator who is able to work well under tight deadlines

-Ability to work under tight deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks and projects

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with school staff, students, parents and partners

- Patience and flexibility in dealing with a variety of situations and people, including the ability to respond to the needs of staff, students and parents.

- Out-of-the-box thinking with the ability to negotiate and coordinate at critical times.

- Ability to work both proactively and independently within a team structure

- Self-confidence and willingness to accept responsibility
