Responsibilities:
- Interfaces with all authorised emergency prevention and response services during well drilling activities.
- Prepares work schedules, requisitions, instructions, drilling patterns and modes and other technical documents. Prepares operational plans for critical activities (casing running and cementing, formation tester operation, etc).
- Participates in preparation of production programs, annual work programs and budgets and business plans of the Partnership.
- Participates in preparation of specifications and tender documents to hold tenders for procurement of goods, works and services related to well drilling. Administers the assigned budget items in the annual work program.
- Monitors the quality, economic feasibility and efficiency of contractor works in the course of drilling.
- Jointly with the geological service, prepares the order for design estimate documentation related to drilling and monitors its development.
- Monitors process compliance and quality of well drilling operations, cementing and pressure testing, drilling fluids and special fluids quality, etc.
- Goes on business trips to render practical assistance / issue recommendations for well operations and to perform customer functions at the Partnership's facilities.
- Studies, analyses, summarises and aligns information, technical data, parameters and deliverables, performs the required calculations
- Develops technical documents and amends such documents due to well drilling technology changes.
- Acts to prevent defects and emergencies and to improve work quality.
- Drafts a daily work plan in the course of well drilling, prepares daily well drilling reports, prepares daily well drilling expenditure reports
- Participates in the organisation of a logistics system in the course of well construction (air, road, marine transport)
- Participates in the organization of a waste disposal system and work to dispose of drilling mud using sea skips and a skipping equipment at the landfill
- Participates in the development of offshore drills jointly with emergency department, OSR 1 and OSR 2 vessel specialists
- Participates in table-top exercises with the involvement of drilling rig, clinic and company emergency response team specialists
- Participates in investigations of industrial accidents and potentially hazardous situations with a high level of hazard.
- Compliance with Kazakhstan's health, safety and environment regulations,company HSE Policy and safety management systems
- Participates in stock-taking of company assets and production materials
- Fulfils other instructions of the Operations Director and Drilling Manager
Qualifications and Experience
- Be able to work in a team and have engineering and commuunication skills
- Have IT skills, in particular MS-Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Have a good knowledge of Kazakhstan's oil and gas regulations
- Be able to understand oil industry laws, instructions, engineering rules
- Be able to listen and take in information
- Be self-confident, have presentation and analytical skills
- Fluent English, Russian language skills. Knowledge of the Kazakh language is preferable
The job holder shall have:
-A university degree in engineering
-At least three-years' experience in the relevant field
Training & Courses:
-Oil and gas basics
-Drilling engineering
-Basics of geology and geophysics (preferably)
-Basics of work with underground plateau and collectors (preferably)
