The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Astana opens an opportunity to become full time technical staff, for the Economic/Administrative staff position.

The staff will be hired on contractual basis for an initial period of 1 (one) year and can be renewed.

I. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. minimum bachelor degree

6. Able and willing to work hard, dedicated to carry out official duties at any time outside of working days and hours if needed.

8. Responsible, honest, have integrity, able to work together in a team, and can keep confidentiality according to the embassy’s values.

9. Willing to sign a contract for a period of 1 year with a probationary period of 3 months.

10. Willing to take part in the entire process of recruitment.

11. Willing to be rotated to work in other functions according to the needs of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana.

II. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Having a minimum diploma of bachelor degree, preferably relevant to the proposed position.

  2. Able to speak and write fluently and actively in Russian, Kazakh, and English. Having Indonesian language skills will be preferred.

  3. Able to operate Microsoft Office programs and have adequate IT skills.

  4. Having general knowledge about Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.

  5. Having interest and knowledge in the field of economics, management, administration/accounting.

  6. Having a wide network, especially the business community, banking, trade and investment.

  7. Having good analytical skills.

  8. Having skills of translating orally and in writing from English to Kazakh and Russian, and vice versa.

  9. Have the ability to research, collect data, examine and analyze and write papers/reports.

III. PROCESS OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:

Interested candidates need to submit the following documents:

  1. Application letter;

  2. Curriculum Vitae/CV (by including e-mail and cell phone and WhatsApp numbers);

  3. 1 copy of a valid ID/passport;

  4. 1 copy of the last diploma;

  5. 1 copy of academic transcript;

  6. Certificate of Police Records (Criminal/police record);

  7. Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS/Language Course Certificate) and/or proof of other Language proficiency;

  8. Health certificate/capable of performing duties as LS (medical);

  9. Softcopy of colour photographs (at least 516Kb JPEG resolution);

  10. Letter of recommendation from previous workplace or university for fresh graduates;

  11. Statement Letter that if you pass the selection, you are willing to sign a work contract for 1 year with a probationary period of 3 months;

  12. Copy of certificate of expertise/competence/other relevant achievements;

All scans/softcopies of the above files and application letters shall be sent to the Selection Committee via email (please find in the contact information), with the subject "Application for Economic/Administrative Staff of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana", by 31 May 2024 at the latest;

If the Selection Committee requires Indonesian or English translation the applicant must show original documents.

IV PHASES, SCHEDULE, AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF SELECTION RESULTS

  1. Applicants who pass the administrative selection will be announced through the website and official social media of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana on 3 June 2024.

  2. Written Test for applicants who pass the administrative selection will be conducted on

6 June 2024 at the Indonesian Embassy in Astana. The written test will be

conducted in English, covering general knowledge on Indonesia-Kazakhstan/Tajikistan

relations and foreign relations of the Republic of Indonesia.

  1. Applicants who pass the written test selection will be announced through the website and official social media of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana on 10 June 2024.

  2. The interview test for applicants who pass the written test will be held on 12 of June 2024 at the Indonesian Embassy in Astana. Interview instructions will be provided on 11 June 2024. Interviews will be conducted in English, Kazakh and Russian.

  3. The announcement of candidates who pass the interview exam will be submitted through the website and social media of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana on 13 June 2024.

  1. The psychological test will be carried out online on 14 June 2024.

  2. The Final Result of the selection will be announced through the website and social media of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana in the Third Week of June 2024.

  1. The selection of Technical Staff conducted by the Indonesian Embassy in Astana is free of charge.

  2. The Indonesian Embassy in Astana is not responsible for any charges or offers by parties on behalf of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana or the recruitment committee.

  3. The Indonesian Embassy in Astana does not bear any costs incurred by participants related to the selection process for the staff of the Indonesian Embassy in Astana.

  5. If any information and documents submitted by the selection participants are found to be incorrect, the recruitment committee has the right to cancel the selection results.

  8. Monthly salary

Bachelor Degree: USD 800

Master Degree : USD 900

Benefits: 5% of salary ( for Social Security 3.5% and Health 1.5%)

  1. Overtime: maximum 28% of basic salary (overtime is given if the employee works

exceeding working hours and days)

  1. Bonus : 1 month salary after working 1 year (subject to budget availability and direction and approval from the Indonesian Government)

  2. National holidays of Indonesia and Kazakhstan

Before working for 1 year, employees may not take annual leave, but are entitled to holidays following national holidays in Indonesia and Kazakhstan, special leave due to illness and leave for important reasons (immediate/nuclear family sick or passed away).
