Responsibilities:
  • Support development of a framework for monitoring and reporting ongoing compliance with regulation and internal/external standards.
  • Participate in the improvement of the entire internal control system in terms of confidentiality/data protection and compliance with the regulatory environment.
  • Establish and maintain data classification and data sensitivity models to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection standards.
  • Work with operations and functional teams to ensure data protection and compliance initiatives are understood and implemented.
  • Work with legal team to identify regulatory requirements across jurisdictions related to privacy and data protection.
  • Work with legal and other teams to translate regulatory requirements to process improvements and initiatives and drive through completion
  • Remain up to date with the requirements of legislation and conduct necessary gap analysis processes to identify and help build remedial work programs and highlight ongoing program risks.
  • Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Partake in privacy and IT compliancy audits and certifications (e.g. ISO27001).
  • Promote adoption of Global or other member firm services.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to data governance, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare operational and strategic reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, accounting, information systems, computer science, engineering or related field; or equivalent practical experience; or applicable certification.
  • Relevant certifications in information security, data governance, or related fields are highly desirable (CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CDPSE, CDMP).
  • 5+ years of industry experience, with an emphasis in risk management and IT compliance program.
  • Experience implementing ISO 27001 in a large-scale enterprise and/or ISO 27001 lead auditor / lead implementer certification (preferred).
  • Experience with / working knowledge of risk frameworks, standards and industry best practices (e.g. COBIT, COSO, ISO 27001, SOC 2, ITIL).
  • Experience developing IT and cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures, and in translating regulatory requirements into technical controls.
  • Proven record of success in working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and good time management to cover a global organization is required and expected.
  • Experience in working in multinational organizations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and apply pragmatic solutions to complex legal / regulatory matters.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Given our international dimension, English fluency is required.
  • Ability to work within a virtual team, where team members could be located in different geographies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A high degree of personal motivation.
