REPORTING
The Chief Information Technology Officer has direct access to all the Firm's Senior
Management and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The Chief Information Technology Officer has independence within the Firm to enable him to act on his own authority.
This includes independent reporting line into the respective Board Sub-Committee, or into the Board directly.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Information Technology Officer is responsible for the Firm's ongoing information technology (IT) operations, maintenance and security oversight to ensure that the Firm's IT systems are reliable and adequately protected from external attack or incident.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
FinTech Lab Reporting:
Reporting on FinTech Lab development and testing activities, preparation of monthly reports, ad-hoc requests; handling Firm originated requests for information/clarification.
Conditions to commence business with Clients:
Evidencing that conditions have been met for the Firm to commence business with Clients. This includes the Firm providing the AFSA with a signed statement, certifying that the Firm has adequate measures in place including but not limited to:
- Resilience: IT systems are resilient and not prone to failure;
- Business Continuity if a part of the IT system fails;
- Protection of IT systems from damage, tampering, misuse or unauthorised access;
- Integrity of data forming part of, or being processed through, the IT systems;
- Monitoring and reporting on system performance, availability and integrity;
- Policies and procedures for the IT systems are established and maintained;
- Resources to operate, maintain and supervise the Firm's IT facilities.
- Distributed Ledger Technology: Ensuring the Firm has robust arrangements in place to ensure protection and integrity of DLT transactions.
Ongoing:
Ongoing information technology (IT) operations, maintenance and security oversight to ensure that the Firm's IT systems are reliable and adequately protected from external attack or incident.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree or equivalent
- Experience of managing IT Systems Development and IT Operations, IT Security
- Deep knowledge of IT Security and of specific technologies used by the Firm.
