Job Description The specialist performs the following duties and responsibilities: request and review the documents to ensure provision of the dormitory places to students who meet eligibility criteria; cooperation with other units and Organizations in placement of eligible students in the dormitories; assistance and informational support of students on matters related to life on campus; assistance in coordinating the activities of the Resident assistants in the dormitories of the University; assisting in the organization of extracurricular student events in the dormitories of the University and attracting students to the organization of events; assistance in the analysis of activities related to the residence of students, assistance in the preparation of summary reports on the work of the Division; assistance in coordination over the observance of the Dormitory Rules, the Student Code of Conduct and other internal regulatory documents of the University by students; timely and accurate distribution of information materials related to student life (decisions of the administration, announcements, posters, etc.) in the dormitory; temporary performs the duties (replaces) of the manager during his/her temporary absence (up to one month); timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management; observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents; is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline; is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer; in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer). Qualifications Work Experience Bachelor: One-year min. No working experience with master`s degree in the relevant area Qualifications Priority specializations: - Education and Management Administration; - Law; - Human sciences Work experience Required work experience is defined in accordance with standard qualifications for administrative positions at the autonomous organization of education Nazarbayev University Professional competencies - Analytical skills; - reports and analytical notes preparation skills; - knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint; - fluent in English, Kazakh, Russian Personal skills - Nazarbayev University competency model; - commitment to the university goals and values; - interpersonal skills; - ability to work in team; - teamwork skills in international environment; - ability to handle stress Additional Information Recruitment and selection process Recruitment and selection at Nazarbayev University include the following process: preliminary selection based on experience and qualifications, assessments (e.g. technical skills/capabilities, aptitude, personality, work samples, in-basket exercises, and informal interviews), and motivation.
