Deloitte is seeking an Assistant Manager (Supervisor) or Manager to join the Quality & Risk Management (QRM) Independence Team

Responsibilities
- Working as part of a dynamic independence team on all matters related to client and personal independence, including but not limited to:
- Managing the client and engagement acceptance independence monitoring and testing program; and
- Reaching a view on independence consultations on a variety of matters in accordance with Deloitte independence policies and procedures, particularly in relation to the provision of non-assurance services to audit clients;
- Monitoring and interpreting regulatory requirements (IESBA and PCAOB) and supporting in implementation of these requirements;
- Any other independence questions or projects that might arise.
- Reporting findings, progress and preliminary conclusions to Independence Team Leader and Director of Independence;
- Project Management and supervising a team of staff to produce project deliverables;
- Communicating effectively with others in QRM, engagement teams, and senior management as required;
- Leading professionals in providing guidance, direction, information and sound management;
- Developing training and guidance documents around independence for personnel.
Requirements:
- Extremely organized and able to manage complex projects
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills with attention to details
- Excellent project management skills
- Advanced computer capabilities
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and motivate staff
- Higher education: Accounting/Finance/Economics
- English language proficiency is required
- Professional qualification: CA, ACCA or CPA (welcome but not essential)
