Job Description 1) manages Registration and Scheduling unit’s workflow; 2) provides input on strategy, procedures, or new initiatives for the improvement of quality of process of registration and preparation of schedules, planning and the analysis of questions of interoperability with other NU Schools and departments; 3) creates functional-technical system specifications with aim of improvement the automotive information system “registrar.nu.edu.kz”; 4) interacts with automotive information system “registrar.nu.edu.kz” developers and testing of the executed work; 5) controls of online course catalog; 6) develops final exam schedule; 7) provides training and technical guidance to less experienced staff; 8) works with different technical departments of the University to execute planned work; 9) develops a new interfaces and new functional modules for different users of Division system in conjunction with interested parties; 10) updates and upgrades existing database structure; 11) works with other areas of Division as needed; 12) participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction; 13) timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management; 14) observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents; 15) is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline; 16) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer; 17) in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer). Qualifications A minimum of five years with a bachelor's degree; Or a minimum of three years with a master's degree in a related field. - in Higher Education, particularly student services management; - in data gathering and identifying requirements for developing educational database software; - in developing user interfaces Additional Information knowledge of the Republic of Kazakhstan legislation in the field of education; knowledge of the educational system of the USA and European countries; customer service; ability to translate documents, letters to/from Kazakh and Russian; effective time management; knowledge of business etiquette, business communication and telephone conversations rules; ability to conduct documentation and business correspondence in Russian and English; knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint; fluent English, Kazakh and Russian Recruitment and selection process Recruitment and selection at Nazarbayev University include the following process: preliminary selection based on experience and qualifications, assessments (e.g. technical skills/capabilities, aptitude, personality, work samples, in-basket exercises, and informal interviews), and motivation. Formal interviews form the final stage of the selection process. They are typically based on organizational values and behaviors and conducted in English.
