Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services in accordance with Internews Procurement Policy. Submit the procurement request to the G&C by email.
  • Conduct vendors’ vetting.
  • Prepares a package of documents for payments.
  • Annually choose preferred vendors by collecting supplier offers, creating bid documents, conducting procurement committee meetings, and recording meeting minutes.
  • Analyze costs and optimize procurement methods.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage contracts from negotiation to renewal or termination.
  • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on market trends and supplier performance.
  • Provide full logistical support for the travel of employees and non-employees.
  • Arrange and coordinate taxi services for business-related purposes.
  • Oversee and coordinate office maintenance.
  • Maintain records of supply movements in storage and IT rooms.
  • Participate in the annual asset inventory process.
  • Provide logistical support for training and events.
  • Maintain all procurement documentation with project records.
  • Understand and demonstrate commitment to upholding Internews’ Core Values.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Social Sciences, International Development and/or in a relevant field of study.
  • 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in a related field, including at least 3 years of experience with a nonprofit organization;
  • Demonstrated analytical, project conceptualization and planning skills;
  • Strong leadership, motivational and communication skills, ability to lead and coordinate processes across different teams;
  • Excellent inter-personal, cultural and diplomatic skills;
  • Ability to effectively present information (both written and verbally) and respond appropriately to questions from senior managers in the field and HQ, counterparts, and donors;
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment;
  • Submit fully executed (signed and stamped) accounting documents for all requested goods and services.
  • Fluency in Russian and English.
  • Strong computer skills particularly with MS Excel, and Word.
  • Legal ability to work in Kazakhstan.
